The Regulars 03:37
The regulars sit at the bar, everyone a country star Heartbroken and waiting ‘round to die A sombre mood fills the smoky air, drink up, son I’ve got some change to spare The old man said as he ordered another round So put another coin in the jukebox ‘cause I’m not ready to go home So put another coin in the jukebox, darlin’ ‘cause I’m not ready to go home alone tonight There ain’t much light in this old place just dark enough to hide my face The kind of place void of bright ideas Empty glasses, emptier stares, the lucky few head out in pairs You don’t have to go home but you can’t stay here So put another coin in the jukebox ‘cause I’m not ready to go home So put another coin in the jukebox, darlin’ ‘cause I’m not ready to go home alone tonight

Song For You 02:19
I don’t wanna lose ya And you know I’ll do anything fo ya Just to see your pretty face And feel the way you taste Baby I don’t wanna lose ya To some guy half as good as me Oh baby don’t you lie I’m not blind I can see The way they look at you And the way you move Don’t get me wrong I trusted you all along But there’s only so much I can do Short of sing this song for you I don’t wanna lose ya And you know I’d do anything for ya Walk ten miles in the rain just to hear you say Baby I don’t wanna lose ya To some girl half as good as me Oh baby don’t you lie I’m not blind I can see The way they look at you And the way you move Don’t get me wrong I trusted you all along But there’s only so much I can do Short of sing this song for you I don’t wanna lose ya And you know I’d do anything for ya Walk ten miles in the rain just to hear you say Baby I don’t wanna lose ya

Listen to the wind You can almost hear it sing It can sweep you off your feet Or knock you down to lonely street I asked where is New Orleans You say hiding in the rain The safest way to travel Is the early morning East bound train I don't know why things are the way they are It's so sad to think that you can't trust your shrink Step on a boat that's bound to sink Watch men skate 'round a rink Oh I just don't know what to think How come only drunks and children Ever seem to tell the truth Skyscrapers scrapin' by She scrapes a mirror to retain her youth You can light a single candle Wish upon a falling star Read horoscopes, look through telescopes But only I can see who you are Well I don't know if I'll get very far In this life I lead I follow you down Like some ill mannered clown I drink until I drown You won't hear me make a sound When I come knockin' on your door

I wanna see you but I won't call anymore Don't act so speechless when I show up at your door With a half bottle of whiskey a drunken toothless grin Refrain from stupid questions like where the hell have you been I've been sad, tired and lonely You said that you were leaving well I guess I'm leaving too You said you never loved me well I guess that much is true You can keep all of my records I don't need them here at all When I found out you were leaving I threw my turntable at the wall I've been sad, tired and lonely The way that things are going I don't know where I'll be It seems like only yesterday when we were young and free Without a care in the world I didn't have a clue How was I to know that you'd be heartbreak #2 I've been sad, tired and lonely

I was high as a kite Hearing things in black and white When it came down to me I was high can’t you see Was it I who was deceived Was it real or make believe I don’t know anymore Can’t tell my face from the floor Then I heard these people singin’ So I figured I should start singin’ La da da la da dee ee... I swear it’s coming, swear on my left hand I swear it’s coming after me I swear it’s coming, swear on my right hand I swear it’s coming after me

You can question life and you can question death But there's no right or wrong And if it's your turn to die oh lord you better hold on This plane is coming down from the sky Don't let it slip away I whisper your name Let there be love I went away for awhile Got back and wished I never had This place has never been so cold I stumbled into a bar And no one knew my name Must cost a fortune to get fame Don't let it slip away I whisper your name Let there be love

I am the Two 03:04
The wind it is howlin' and you're howlin' too A slightly different melody but still howlin' the same tune One is howlin' for rain, the other one for love The funny thing about it is they're both sent from above But how was I to know that you were the one That you were the one and I was the two I thought I knew it all but boy was I wrong You wanna make it in this world you're gonna have to sing along I've always learned the hard way Learning from my mistakes I not only want you, girl I need you and I'll do whatever it takes But how was I to know that you were the one That you were the one and I was the two I brought you flowers, darlin' but you threw them in my face and said you wanna be alone I'd do it all over in a single heartbeat 'cause you're the one and I'm the two

about

This is the first album I did as Dylan Thomas. I remember most of the sessions were done between 12am and 6am and then I would go to work. I've always had mixed feelings about this record. I feel slightly embarrassed by some, if not all, of the songs but people seem to like it and to this day some people think it's the best album I've done...

I'd like to thank Steve Bowd for working on the album with me. We had just recently finished the first Jolts EP and he offered me some free studio time and I took it. He put a lot of work into it. Towards the end we had a falling out. I can't remember what it was about. I haven't seen or spoken to him since the album was released.
